Planinca is a small settlement in the hills to the south of Jezero in the Brezovica municipality in central Slovenia. The municipality is part of the traditional region of Inner Carniola and is now included in the Central Slovenia statistical region.[2]
The local church is dedicated to Saint Thomas and belongs to the Preserje parish. It is first mentioned in written documents dating to 1386, but was in a ruinous state until it was reconstructed in 1989.[3]
